You can only see what you can see Should we have plastic or china cups in our coffee room? What does our transport system look like, what are its environmental impacts and what can we do about them? What sort of packaging is really best environmentally? What are the environmental implications of our new recycling system? How do our products affect the environment? Environmental analysis aims to influence the choices that we make. The starting point for the analysis is the available knowledge from experience of the natural systems. But knowledge is a product of both facts and values. The values that affect the analysis are therefore also emphasised. The final report of our analysis describes the effects of the choices made by the business and gives recommendations for how to handle the issue in the future. It is vital that this decision making tool is well grounded within the business. We place high demands on ourselves to ensure that the reports we produce are easy for our customers to take in and understand; it is important that our customers are be able to discuss the reasoning behind the analysis and the results without our help in the future.
